Smicksburg, PA Apple Festival
This is the entrance to The Drying Shed, a prim shop that is housed in an old farmhouse. They have another shop in *downtown* Smicksburg.
My friend and I decided to enjoy the nice fall weather and take a ride to Smicksburg. There are a few prim stores, a restaurant and a winery nearby.
Taken near Smicksburg where a huge group of Amish folks reside. As you can see, this area is definitely farm country. Well, actually, Pennsylvania has quite a bit of farmland all over the state.
This photo was taken at the Windgate Winery not far from Smicksburg. My friend is standing behind the wagon.
This photo was taken in a little village called Coolspring between Brookville and Punxsutawney ( The Weather Capital ). The white building is a little general store. My grandmother was from this area.
Hugs,
Linda
