Early Look Tavern Lights
It has been a busy month here at this homestead. Cleaning for one and I am sure not through with that since I have also been making new goodes for my shoppe in TDIPT Mercantile, plus out walking enjoying the warm weather.
I have just finished up a set of three early look tavern tea lights with a design from witchy hollow. They were very time consuming to make but it was worth the effort.
They are so prim looking and would look really great in the old homestead on a shelf in a buttery, pantry, on a desk, windowsill, or with fall and Halloween decor.
You can turn them on and off by the switch on the bottom of the candle. They will be twenty dollars for the set of three plus a little traveling fare to your homestead.
May you have a wonder filled day ! I am finishing up another offering today and hopefully taking some photos if the sun cooperates.
Hugs,
Linda

A New Creation
I have just finished a prim simple early doll with her sock kitty. I love how she turned out.
She will be offered in my TDIPT Mercantile Shoppe for the first of June.
It sure has been warm here today. Not a good day to buy ice cream at the store unless you took a cooler along ! :o)
A Happy Memorial Day weekend to you !
Hugs,
Linda

Look What I Made.... one has more cinnamon ....
The one on the left has more cinnamon and is a whole lot sweeter...yep, I am a tad biased, I suppose. But the one on the left is not edible :o).
I made the Simple Mornings Apple Cinnamon Muffins today. If you happen to make these muffins... the mix could use about 1/2 to 3/4 teaspoon of cinnamon, a few dashes of nutmeg, and about two tablespoonsful of sugar or a little more if you like them a little sweeter. Please trust me on this. :o)
I don't like using a lot of oil, so I used a little applesauce with the oil to make the 1/3 cup it called for. I also added some extra diced up apple.
I had a 75 cents off coupon for it, so I thought I would give it a try.
Most of the muffins I made today will probably go in the waste can. This mix has no artifical ingredients and comes with a granola packet to sprinkle on top of the muffins. So basically they are good for you , but please add the sugar, cinnamon, and a dash of nutmeg or two for some flavor. They are so bland, they aren't worth the calories that you consume when eating one.
I just finished this little darling coffeedyed and aged pin keep doll.. Of course, I added my own touches. A TFC folkart pattern was used, but I added real arms and improvised here and there. She is 6 1/2 tall and aged for a timeworn look. The pin cushion is a piece of a favorite cutter quilt I had bought at an antique store.
If you might be interested in her, $ 19.99 plus travel fare to your zipcode. Just email me at: homecamp1@comcast.net Update ~ the pin keep dollie has been sold ~ Thank you, Diane.
Two posts in one day... must be the rain :o) !

A Little Part of Pennsylvania
This is the view that is across the road from a quilt shop ( Mary Beth's ) I went to on Saturday. It is in Belleville, Pa on Rt. 655 off of Rt. 322. Their prices are reasonable for their good quilt fabric.
A lot of Amish live in this area, so you have to be on the look out for their buggies.
Along Rt. 655 you will find a wine shop, a place called Woolen Mills (that I have not been to as of yet nor the wine shop either ), and an antique mall called Dairyland. Also, right in Belleville, there is another little antique store, but it closes early on Saturday it seems.
My friend and I had lunch at Duffy's Tavern in Boalsburg. Since I have already posted numerous photos of the tavern on my blog in other posts... I did not take any on this trip.
Anyway.. the Pennsylvania landscape looks sorta like this from Harrisburg over to Somerset and Tyrone, PA. area. Their are views like this outside of State College and Tyrone and between Altoona, PA and Bedford, Pa.
Big expansive views of farm land mostly.
Looks like another rainy and cloudy day here in PA !
Have a fun day !
Hugs,
Linda
