Can you believe this ?

Do you know what this is ? If you guessed snow, that four letter word, you are so right. When I woke up on Sunday morning, it was snowing. A wet slushy snow, but snow none the less.

Thank goodness it melted and this was the most we received as shown in the photos, but about 8 or so miles from where I live on the higher mountain, ( 2,250 feet ~ highest point on I-80 East of the Mississippi ) there was a good inch of that white stuff.

I have never seen this before so early in October. But there has been a time or two when I was young when I went trick or treating with boots and a winter coat on over the costume !

Autumn Blessings.. it is still autumn, isn't it ?

  1. Arghhh...I SO didn't need to see THAT!! :o)
Wishing you many days of Indian Summer ahead....

  2. oh I remember trick or treating in "calf" deep snow as a kid..didn't stop us..we just wore our costumes over our coats..and as a kid the cold didn't stop us did it? bbbrrrr..makes me cold thinking about it..we had a nice fire tonight to take off the chill of a rainy day.;)

  3. Yikes! I'm not sure I'm ready for this stuff, I'm just putting out my fall decorations!

  4. Oh my goodness you can't be serious! This is incredible....if you didn't show pictures I would have guessed it was April Fools! lol

Thank you so much for stopping by. I appreciate your visit ! Blessings, Linda
